The return of Tottenham Green Market

This is your heads up that Tottenham Green Market is back on Sunday 13 March and it’s here to stay!

In case you haven’t heard of it, Tottenham Green Market started on a trial basis two summers ago for six weeks.  It returned for a short time last summer, and now it’s coming back on a more permanent basis.

I first visited the market in its 2014 incarnation, after I had put an offer in on my flat.

This is a photo I took back then. The sun was shining, and locals were out in force enjoying the street food, soaking up the rays and listening to the music play.  It made me confident that I’d made the right decision.

Confirmed traders for the market in 2016 include local cheesemonger Wildes, local brewers Redemption and Beavertown, caffeine pushers Craving Coffee, not-so-local bakers The Flour Station (sadly our local bakers aren’t doing markets any more), and Brockmans Farm Produce for vegetables.

There will be plenty of street food including Mauritian food from House of Dodo, arepas from Guasacaca, Mexican from Pink Cactus, Italian from Don Luigi, the list goes on… I honestly don’t know what to choose!

More pictures from the market (supplied to me by the market’s organiser Marika Gauci):
